Admissions

The first place outside home matters

We follow the Cambridge Early Years curriculum, carefully adapted to celebrate play, movement, and hands-on learning. No academic pressure. No rigidity. Just joyful and meaningful experiences that build a strong foundation for future learning.

A DECISION THAT IS BUILT A FAMILY

Choosing a preschool is not a quick or individual decision.

It is a conversation that happens at home, filled with questions, agreements, and emotions.

American Garden is chosen by families who understand that the early years do not repeat themselves and seek a place where their children are supported with respect, affection, and a long-term vision.

Families who come here value:

AN ADMISSIONS PROCESS THAT WALKS WITH YOU

An important moment deserves time and attentive listening.
We know that this first step outside the home can bring excitement and also uncertainty.
That is why at American Garden, the admissions process is not a formality:
it is a space to talk, listen, and guide each family, without pressure and without haste.

Our goal is not to rush decisions,
but to accompany them with clarity and closeness.

WHEN SPACE

ALSO TEACHES

The environment where a child grows truly matters. A lot.

American Garden was conceived from the very beginning as an educational project designed specifically for early childhood.

Every space is thoughtfully created to support movement, curiosity, safety, and children’s well-being, offering an environment aligned with their stage of development.

Here, space cares, supports, and nurtures.

FAQ'S

Clear answers to the most frequently asked questions

From what age do you accept children?

We welcome children from 18 months.
We support each child while respecting their stage of development, their pace, and each family’s unique circumstances. We understand that not all children are ready at the same time, so we discuss and manage entry carefully, always prioritising the child’s wellbeing.

Yes. American Garden is a bilingual nursery.

Bilingualism is introduced to encourage a natural and spontaneous acquisition of a second language. Exposure to English begins at the Toddlers level through play, daily routines, music, hands-on activities and digital resources.

In Pre-K and Kindergarten, the process is strengthened by incorporating areas such as phonics, maths, chess and logical thinking, using age-appropriate educational and technological tools, without forcing development.

The settling-in process is gradual, respectful and fully supported.
We understand that early socialisation and a child’s first step outside the home are significant moments for children and their families. For this reason, we take particular care with this process, supporting the child through warmth, close observation and constant communication with the family, strengthening habits, emotional security and confidence.

At American Garden we offer a holistic educational project that promotes children’s development across different dimensions: emotional, social, cognitive and physical.
We work in a safe and warm environment, with qualified staff, appropriate educational resources and processes that promote values, positive coexistence, bilingualism and the responsible use of technology—always aligned with the child’s age and stage of development.

Being part of the Journey GCB means that American Garden has the academic, pedagogical and professional support of Gimnasio Colombo Británico, one of the country’s most recognised educational projects.

For families, this means:
• A strong and consistent educational project from early years education
• Qualified staff committed to ongoing professional development
• Interdisciplinary support (psychology and speech and language therapy)
• High-level facilities and educational resources
• A natural academic progression to GCB

From the early years, children become part of an educational pathway with a long-term vision.

The day is designed to balance learning, play, rest and wellbeing.

Routines are clear and predictable, which provides children with security, and they are adapted to each level according to age. We aim for children to experience their day calmly, in an environment that encourages exploration, independence and warmth.

Yes. American Garden offers school transport.

Routes are operated in van-type vehicles that meet safety standards and are accompanied by nursery staff, who maintain ongoing communication with families and with the institution, providing reassurance during journeys.

We offer healthy, balanced meals, with menus designed by a nutritionist and prepared by an experienced food and beverage team.

Children have access to a spacious and pleasant dining area and are supported by staff to promote healthy eating habits from early childhood.

We provide ongoing support from an interdisciplinary team, including psychology and speech and language therapy, complementing daily educational work and offering guidance to children, families and staff.

Communication is close, clear and consistent.

We maintain an open dialogue with families to support each child’s process, share progress and address any concerns, recognising that the family–nursery relationship is essential in the early years.

After American Garden, the journey continues.

Our children can go on to Gimnasio Colombo Británico (GCB), one of the country’s top 10 schools, with a campus of more than 60,000 m², extensive green areas, a bilingual programme with an international outlook, strong values-based education and up-to-date technological learning environments.

It’s the same garden—just bigger.

Each stage is supported by respecting the pace, qualities, and strengths of every child.
